14 June 2021
Refugee Week is a UK-wide festival celebrating the contributions, creativity and resilience of refugees and people seeking sanctuary. STAR is proud to be a partner of the Refugee Week coalition, helping shape the festival each year.
From 14-20 June, events and activities are taking place across the country – both online and offline – around the theme #WeCannotWalkAlone. It is a reminder that when we walk side by side, we are capable of building real change.
There are hundreds of events taking place this week, so we’ve just selected a snapshot of what’s on offer – from STAR groups, our friends and some we just thought sounded really great! If you’re in Scotland make sure you don’t miss out on all the amazing stuff going on as part of the Refugee Festival Scotland.
From historical walking tours and art workshops to DJ sets and a cookery class, there’s something for everyone. Get your friends and family involved, so we can all listen and learn together (and have some well-earned fun after a difficult year!).
