Student Action for Refugees

There are two STAR group in the North West which are Lancaster University and University of Chester.

Lancaster University (Lancaster STAR)

At LUSTAR we aim to make Lancaster and Morecambe a sanctuary for refugees. We meet every Thursday to discuss, education and take action in making Lancaster a safe, and welcome home for refugees. We will be doing coat collections, and working with other organisations to provide English lessons, and provide resources. We have been working with STAR over the last few years, running events including hosting guest speakers, craft events and sports fundraisers. Make sure to follow us on Instagram!

Liverpool University (Liverpool STAR)

Liverpool STAR is a group of students passionate about refugee and asylum seeker rights. We aim to raise awareness, fundraise, and volunteer with local refugee communities. We host fun events, run campaigns, and have lots of exciting projects on the go! Keep an eye on our Instagram to see what we’re up to and how you can get involved!

University of Chester (Chester STAR)
